Process layout

This application case features a robotic automation system solution using Neuromeka's Indy7 to improve material supply accuracy and operational efficiency in press manufacturing processes.

By synchronizing 6-axis collaborative robots with conveyor systems, we have established a flexible material supply chain between processes. This implementation ensures consistent product quality and significantly enhances overall production efficiency.

Components

Robot
  • Robot: Indy7

    • 6-axis collaborative robot.

    • Payload: 7kg.

    • Maximum Reach: 1.3m (standard reach 800mm, total span optimized for machine tending).

    • Weight: 28kg.

    • Repeatability: ±0.1mm.

Workflow

STEP 1.Material Transit: Raw materials move along the conveyor belt.
STEP 2.Detection & Loading: Once the conveyor sensor detects the material, Indy7 (A) picks the part, loads it into the press machine, and the pressing cycle begins.
STEP 3.Unloading: After the press cycle, the robot moves the processed part back onto the conveyor.
STEP 4.Sequential Processing: Indy7 (B) and Indy10 (C) repeat the same sequence downstream to complete the multi-stage production.

Features

  • Simultaneous Improvement in Environment and Productivity

    • Non-Stop Production: Ensures high productivity through continuous, idle-free operation.

    • Safety First: Prevents workplace accidents by removing human operators from high-risk press zones.

  • Seamless Continuous Manufacturing System

    • Smart Material Sensing: A responsive system that detects material input in real-time to trigger immediate robot action.

    • Fully Autonomous Flow: Achieves continuous production without the need for manual intervention or interruptions in the transfer process.

Results

Key Benefits
Hazardous Task Automation: Robots replace humans in high-risk press machine zones. Consistent Quality: Eliminates human error to maintain uniform product standards.
Client Feedback
"By increasing the ratio of actual production output to total capacity, we have been able to achieve the optimal utilization rate for our average production facilities."

Machining Support for a WIA Turning Center using Two DENSO Robots ⚙️🏭

Process Overview This automation solution uses two DENSO robots—VM60B1 (6-axis vertical articulated robot) and HS055 (SCARA robot)—to automate raw material loading, turning-center machining of plastic parts, and a downstream press-fit (crimping) operation. By integrating material loading, machining support, and press-fit handling into a single automated workflow, the system minimizes control points while improving overall productivity.
