Process Overview

Implementation Solution LG CLOi Delivery Robots & Robot Integrated Control System SOLlink

Area of Application Automation of specimen and document collection and delivery operations within Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital

Key Features Increased efficiency and accuracy by automating in-hospital delivery tasks through the integration of the hospital information system and the robot control system.

 Project Background and Objective

 Background

  •  The tasks of collecting and delivering specimens and documents within the hospital are repetitive and time-consuming.

  •  Previously, the efficient allocation of human resources was difficult due to tasks that required physical movement.

  •  The benefits of digital transformation are not being fully realized due to a lack of integration between hospital information systems and robots.

 purpose :

  •  Maximizing work efficiency and the accuracy classification through the automation of sample/document collection and delivery operations.

  •  Elevating user convenience through seamless integration with existing hospital information systems.

  •  Reducing human resources related to in-hospital delivery and support medical staff so they can focus more on patient care.

Components

Robot

LG CLOi Subbot

Workflow

STEP 1.Request for specimen/document collection from the Hospital information system (BIS) β†’ Call robot
STEP 2.Delivery robot moves to the designated first collection location
STEP 3.Hospital staff enter the robot's password and load specimens/documents
STEP 4.Robot moves to the next collection location β†’ Additional loading
STEP 5.After all collection tasks are completed, the robot autonomously boards the elevator and moves to the final delivery location
STEP 6.After the final delivery , the robot returns to the waiting position.

Features

User-Friendly System

  •  The integration of the hospital information system with SOLlink enables the staff to use the robot intuitively without separate training.

 Efficient Work Process

  •  Robots automatically patrol collection locations and perform tasks, significantly improving work speed and accuracy compared to manual work.

 Fully Automated Implementation

  •  Efficiently solves inter-floor movement tasks within the hospital using the autonomous elevator boarding function.

 Enhanced Security

  •  Maintaining security through the loading of samples and documents via password authentication.

 Human Resource Optimization

  •  By automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks, hospital staff can focus on high-value tasks such as patient care.

Results

Key Benefits
Increased work efficiency: 30% reduction in sample/document collection and delivery time compared to existing standards. User Satisfaction: Results of a satisfaction survey targeting Hospital staff showed over 90% positive responses. Enhanced security level: Zero recorded cases of errors or loss during the collection and delivery process using a password authentication system. Operating cost reduction: Annual reduction of approximately 20% in related personnel operating costs.
Client Feedback
The introduction of robots has greatly streamlined specimen and document delivery tasks, allowing medical staff to focus on more critical patient care. I am particularly satisfied with the fact that the robots can be easily used without complex operations, thanks to their integration with the hospital information system.

Three LG CLOi Guide Robots Will Accompany Patients throughout Their Examinations! πŸ₯πŸ€– (LG CLOi Guide Robots Introduced at Haeundae Baek Hospital in Busan)

Process Overview This is a case study of Bigwave Robotics (Marosol) deploying three guide robots at Haeundae Paik Hospital to automate patient navigation. Using the LG CLOi guide robots, the hospital automatically guided patients through their examinations. The three guide robots were interconnected using the SOLlink integrated robot control system. This enabled seamless guidance for patients moving between floors. Warranty Period 1 Year Performance Year 2024 Project Background and Objectives Robots don't board elevators; patients move between floors. Robots on each floor are interconnected through a highly integrated control system (relay function). This system accompanies and guides patients as they move between floors.
