Process Overview
Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital introduced LG CLOi Delivery Robots to automate the supply delivery process for patients with limited mobility. By linking the existing Hospital Information System (HIS) with Marosol’s robot integrated control system, SOLlink, an environment was established where both the staff and patients can intuitively use the robots.
Project Background and Purpose
Background
Increasing need for a system that allows bedridden patients, especially vulnerable patients with limited mobility, to easily order and receive necessary supplies.
Enhancing the efficiency of medical staff by reducing the workload of personnel responsible for delivering supplies within the hospital .
Promoting the transition to a smart hospital by integrating digital technology and automation solutions into the hospital environment.
Purpose
Provision of a non-face-to-face service that allows patients to conveniently order and receive products.
Improved operational efficiency by automating internal hospital supply delivery tasks.
Components
| Robot | LG CLOi ServeBot Double-door Medicine Delivery Robot |
|---|
Workflow
| STEP 1. | The patient scans the QR code attached to the bedside to access the online ordering page linked to the Hospital |
|---|---|
| STEP 2. | Selects desired items and completes payment |
| STEP 3. | The order details are transmitted to the hospital system, and after the partner store prepares the items, they are loaded onto the LG CLOi Delivery Robot |
| STEP 4. | The robot automatically and safely transports the items to the ward via the SOLlink integrated control system |
| STEP 5. | The patient receives the items delivered by the robot directly at their bedside. |
Features
Integration with existing Hospital systems
Automating all processes by linking the Hospital information system with SOLlink.
Enhanced usability
Hospital staff and patients can intuitively use the robot without separate complex procedures.
Maximizing patient convenience
Even patients with limited mobility can easily order and receive supplies remotely.
Safe transportation of goods
Robots deliver items accurately and safely inside the Hospital .
Smart Hospital Implementation
Digitalization of hospital services and increased efficiency through cutting-edge robotic technology.
Results
| Key Benefits | Increased work efficiency: 30% reduction in in-hospital supply delivery time.
Improved patient satisfaction: Average 92% positive response rate in patient satisfaction survey results regarding product delivery services.
Increase in contactless ordering rate: 85% of patients in the hospital use QR code-based product ordering services.
Hospital workforce efficiency: Approximately 40% reduction in workload for personnel related to material handling. |
|---|---|
| Client Feedback | The LG CLOi Delivery Robots and the SOLlink integrated system have significantly enhanced hospital operational efficiency. In particular, patient satisfaction has greatly increased as supplies could be safely delivered to patients with limited mobility. This system was an important first step toward the smartification and digitalization of the Hospital. |
