Process layout

This automation solution utilizes two Denso VM60B1 robots to perform metal ring insert injection molding followed by gate and burr removal.

By integrating the entire process—from workpiece feeding to gate cutting and deburring—the system minimizes management points and significantly improves overall productivity.

Components

Robot
  • Robot: DENSO VM-60B1 (2 Units)

    • 6-axis articulated robot, reach 1,298mm, payload 13kg, weight 82kg, repeatability ±0.07mm, standard cycle time 0.95 sec.

Workflow

STEP 1.Feeding: Materials are fed one by one via a bowl feeder and aligned through an alignment device.
STEP 2.Loading: 2 to 4 rings are inserted into the injection molding equipment.
STEP 3.Take-out: The completed injection-molded product is extracted.
STEP 4.Gate Cutting: The gate is removed using dedicated cutting equipment.
STEP 5.Deburring Input: The product is placed into the deburring device.
STEP 6.Deburring: The burr removal process is performed.
STEP 7.Discharge: The finished part is moved to the discharge conveyor.

Plastic Container Production through Hanwha HCR-5

This is an injection molding and assembly automation solution that utilizes three Hanwha HCR-5 collaborative robots to manufacture plastic containers. When a human operator inputs the container components, the cobots take over to combine the parts and perform quality testing. This system eliminates idle time typically caused by manual task switching, thereby maximizing productivity. Furthermore, the integration of 100% automated testing ensures superior product quality and consistency.

Cosmetic Container Packaging through COMAU Racer-5

This automated packaging solution utilizes the COMAU Racer-5 to automate the manual process of loading cosmetic containers into boxes. The system picks up containers arriving in a single line and arranges them into organized rows within the box. It also automates the placement of interlayer sheets (dividers) between each layer of products, ensuring maximum productivity while minimizing management touchpoints. By handling both the product and the packaging material, the robot provides a seamless and efficient end-of-line solution.
