This automation solution utilizes two Denso VM60B1 robots to perform metal ring insert injection molding followed by gate and burr removal.

By integrating the entire process—from workpiece feeding to gate cutting and deburring—the system minimizes management points and significantly improves overall productivity.

Components

Robot
  • Robot: DENSO VM-60B1 (2 Units)

    • 6-axis articulated robot, reach 1,298mm, payload 13kg, weight 82kg, repeatability ±0.07mm, standard cycle time 0.95 sec.

Workflow

STEP 1.Feeding: Materials are fed one by one via a bowl feeder and aligned through an alignment device.
STEP 2. Loading: 2 to 4 rings are inserted into the injection molding equipment.
STEP 3. Take-out: The completed injection-molded product is extracted.
STEP 4. Gate Cutting: The gate is removed using dedicated cutting equipment.
STEP 5. Deburring Input: The product is placed into the deburring device.
STEP 6. Deburring: The burr removal process is performed.
STEP 7. Discharge: The finished part is moved to the discharge conveyor.
