Machine Tending Automation using Neuromeka Indy7
This application case features an automated Machine Tending and Palletizing solution using the Indy7 to transfer objects from a conveyor into a press machine for processing, followed by organized stacking.
To handle both pallets and flanges efficiently, a specialized hybrid gripper—combining a vacuum gripper and an electric gripper—is utilized. This allows the robot to manage diverse workpieces within a single unified process.

Workflow
| STEP 1. | Infeed: Workpieces are fed into the system via a conveyor. |
|---|---|
| STEP 2. | Processing: The robot loads the workpiece into the press machine for processing. |
| STEP 3. | Palletizing: Once the processing is complete, the finished product is picked and stacked onto a pallet. |
Features
Compact Installation & High Cost-Efficiency
Minimal Footprint: The collaborative robot integrates into existing production lines without requiring layout changes.
Reduced Investment: Strategic implementation minimizes the costs typically associated with large-scale automation overhauls.
Production Flexibility
Versatile Handling: Equipped with a long-stroke 3-finger gripper, the system can adapt to various product shapes and sizes.
Seamless Transitions: The hybrid gripper (vacuum + electric) allows the robot to handle different materials without manual tool changes.
Results
| Key Benefits | Maximized Productivity: Continuous operation minimizes idle time, ensuring a steady manufacturing flow.
Model Agility: No additional reconfiguration is required when switching between different product models.

Recommended Solution
Material Handling Automation using Yaskawa GP180
This application case features an automated stacking solution utilizing the Yaskawa GP180. The system automates the stacking of two different types of products onto their respective pallets. Once a pallet is fully loaded, an operator triggers a switch to signal for forklift transport. The products retain residual internal heat, making manual handling hazardous. Additionally, with each unit weighing approximately 1.5kg, the repetitive nature of the task caused significant musculoskeletal pain for workers, leading to difficulties in labor recruitment.
Press Machine Tending using Neuromeka Collaborative Robots
This application case features a robotic automation system solution using Neuromeka's Indy7 to improve material supply accuracy and operational efficiency in press manufacturing processes. By synchronizing 6-axis collaborative robots with conveyor systems, we have established a flexible material supply chain between processes. This implementation ensures consistent product quality and significantly enhances overall production efficiency.
M1 Micro Bolt Assembly Automation using Epson N6 + FT Sensor
Process Overview This small-parts assembly automation solution uses an Epson N6 robot and an FT (Force-Torque) sensor to automate the assembly process for small M1 bolts. For M1-class bolts, even minor positional deviations can easily lead to assembly failure, and if the bolt is not assembled with the proper force, it may result in part damage or misassembly. By combining Epson's N6 robot with an FT sensor, this solution minimizes positioning errors and monitors force during operation to ensure stable assembly performance. This solution is optimized for achieving both precise assembly and minimized takt time in limited space. This project was implemented to automate the assembly process of micro bolts.
