This application is a solution that performs injection molding gate cutting and vision inspection using an extraction robot.
In plastic injection automation, extraction robots do more than just retrieve parts; they handle post-processing tasks such as gate cutting and finishing. This solution goes beyond simple cutting by integrating vision inspection into the workflow.
Components
| Robot | Extraction Robot; Injection Molding Machine; Finishing Nipper; Rotating Jig; Vision System |
|---|
Workflow
| STEP 1. | Extraction robot retrieves the part from inside the injection molding machine. |
|---|---|
| STEP 2. | Gate cutting is performed using a nipper. |
| STEP 3. | Part is rotated using the rotating jig. |
| STEP 4. | Gate cutting is performed on the opposite side. |
| STEP 5. | Vision inspection device checks for product defects and short shots. |
| STEP 6. | Repeat the previous process |
