The autonomous logistics robot KARRY by DOGU KONGAN is a robotic solution designed for logistics centers, factories, and warehouses. It optimizes operations by either following a human worker to transport cargo or navigating autonomously to designated locations.
The primary objective of this project was to automate heavy-load transport tasks to resolve the issue of cumulative worker fatigue. In this setup, human workers remain at fixed stations while the logistics transport process itself is fully automated. Featuring efficient and safe autonomous navigation, KARRY is easy to deploy in any logistics environment due to its intuitive user-recognition system and low barrier to entry.

Workflow
| STEP 1. | Person Following: The robot follows the worker to the specific task location. |
|---|---|
| STEP 2. | Loading: The worker loads products onto KARRY’s shelves. |
| STEP 3. | Instruction: Once loading is complete, a command is given to move to the next location. |
| STEP 4. | Autonomous Navigation: The robot moves to the designated destination independently. |
| STEP 5. | Unloading: A worker at the destination performs the unloading of the delivered goods. |

Features
Logistics Automation Without Heavy Investment
Cost-Effective Solution: Offers a highly competitive price point in the 50 million KRW range per unit.
Infrastructure-Free (AMR): Utilizes Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) technology, eliminating the need for expensive physical guides like wires or magnetic tapes.
Fast and Easy Deployment & Operation
One-Touch Recognition: Intuitive "one-touch" user recognition allows for easy activation of the person-following function.
Rapid Setup: Built-in sensors for self-localization and pathfinding significantly reduce deployment time by eliminating the need for additional facility modifications.
1-Day Mapping: Creating a full-site digital map takes only a single day.
Dynamic Adaptation: Users can modify paths directly via the 'Planner' software, allowing for flexible responses to changes in the workspace environment.
On-site Verification: Pre-deployment on-site demonstrations are available for performance validation.
Results
| ROI Period | 24 months |
|---|---|
| Key Benefits | Reduced time for logistics transport tasks.
Increased operational efficiency for workers through safe and effective transport.

| Client Feedback | Deciding to adopt logistics robots like AGVs is usually difficult due to high costs, but DOGU KONGAN offered a relatively affordable solution that made the decision easy. We also expected the system integration to be complex, as is common with logistics automation, but we were highly satisfied with how simple it was to start using the robot immediately after the 1-day mapping process. |
