Process Overview

This assembly automation solution uses a YUSHIN take-out robot (SCⅡ-150) to automate the process of insert-molding a steel plate into a plastic injection-molded part during production. By automating both the insert-loading operation and the downstream inspection process, the system minimizes control points while improving overall productivity.

Workflow

STEP 1.Singulate and feed two steel plates at a time via the bowl feeder
STEP 2.Pick two steel plates per cycle and place them into the 8-position loading jig
STEP 3.Pick a set of eight steel plates and transfer them to the injection molding machine
STEP 4.Take out the molded part and load the steel plates
STEP 5.Discharge the finished product via the outfeed conveyor.
