Universal's (UR) Collaborative Robot Enters the Kitchen in Earnest

Universal's (UR) Collaborative Robot Enters the Kitchen in Earnest

This solution is a fully automated kitchen operation system built around the CA-1, a 4th-generation autonomous cooking robot developed by Circus SE in Germany. The CA-1 is an advanced cooking automation device integrating Collaborative(UR Cobot), AI, and a modular cooking system. Its key feature is the unmanned operation of the entire kitchen process, from ingredient input to cooking, plating, warming, and automatic cleaning. Designed to produce up to 120 different menu items per hour in a space of just 7 square meters (approximately 2 pyeong), it enables high-efficiency cooking even in small kitchens. In particular, the core capability lies in the combination of precision operation performance based on universal Collaborative and 36 refrigerated silos with AI cooking algorithms, allowing for the safe and consistent production of a wide variety of dishes.
