This application is a solution that uses the Comau PAL-180-3.1 to palletize heavy beverage boxes.

When humans repeatedly move large and heavy objects, it places a significant strain on the musculoskeletal system and cannot be sustained for long periods. On the other hand, large articulated robots are suitable for moving large and heavy objects as they can quickly move and stack items in desired positions.

Components

Robot

Robot Comau PAL-180-3.1: 4-axis articulated, payload 180kg, reach 3,100mm, weight 1,213kg, repeatability ±0.1 mm

Workflow

STEP 1.Boxes to be palletized are aligned via conveyor.
STEP 2.Palletizing the boxes using a pneumatic gripper.
STEP 3.Repeat until one layer is stacked.
STEP 4.Once a layer is stacked, pick up a paper sheet with a vacuum gripper and place it on top of the box layer.
STEP 5.Repeat the previous process

Features

Accurate Picking Capability

  • Palletizing without shipping accidents using jig sizes tailored to product dimensions

  • Capable of accurately picking and moving even thin paper sheets

Simultaneous Productivity Boost and Workplace Improvement

  • Maximizing productivity by quickly stacking heavy beverage boxes

  • Minimizing operational downtime and preventing musculoskeletal disorders in workers

Results

Key Benefits
Improved productivity through idle-free operations Increased stacking efficiency via uniform and stable stacking tasks
Client Feedback
Even heavy boxes can be easily palletized all at once, which has allowed us to increase production efficiency and prevent industrial accidents.

Automated Leveling of Baekseolgi using UR5

Automated Leveling of Baekseolgi using UR5

This application case features an automated solution for leveling Baekseolgi (Korean steamed rice cake) by integrating the UR5 into the manufacturing process. Due to the nature of Baekseolgi, it is essential to spread and level the rice flour evenly. While manual leveling is time-consuming and results in quality variations, robotic automation enables consistent, high-speed leveling for every batch.

HRT System Pickit 3D Vision

Project Overview This solution utilizes the Pickit 3D Vision for bin picking and robot guidance. Without 3D vision, approximately 10% of parts fall over or shift during internal transport, making it impossible for the robot to pick them from their original positions. The Pickit 3D vision system enables the robot to detect, extract, and place parts even when they are oriented in specific directions. Project Background & Objectives Automated Picking: Enabling the robot to pick items without manual re-alignment by humans. Consistent Dispensing: Maintaining uniform application tasks even if the position of heavy workpieces shifts. Defect Minimization: Minimizing the defect rate through precise positioning.

Logistics Automation System using OAGV - CL100

Are you burdened by the high cost of logistics robots for moving items weighing 1 to 20kg? Between massive equipment investments and ongoing maintenance, the barriers to entry can be high. Omorobot offers a solution with our OAGV (DIY-type Logistics Robot)—an affordable, simple, and highly reliable system. The OAGV is a modular logistics robot assembled using controllers and sensors designed and manufactured in-house by Omorobot, drawing from extensive robot development experience. The standard platform can carry up to 150kg and navigates by following reflective tape on the floor, using credit-card-sized tags to identify specific locations for transport or return. It is ideal for transporting rectangular loads like plastic (PP, PE) or cardboard boxes (up to 650mm x 550mm), making it perfect for facilities requiring repetitive transport of low-to-medium loads.
