Process Overview
This welding automation solution uses the Rainbow Robotics RB-5 and a NOUBELON DIGITAL MIG/MAG welder to weld cylindrical workpieces onto a plate, featuring fast teaching and high space efficiency. In manual welding, quality can vary significantly depending on operator skill, and the harsh working environment makes it difficult to secure experienced welders.
With this cell, even non-expert operators can simply load and unload parts, while the robot performs the critical welding process—enabling consistent weld quality and stable production output.

Features
Higher efficiency and quality through smart division of work (robot + operator)
The robot handles the skill- and consistency-critical welding, while the operator focuses on part load/unload—improving throughput and weld quality at the same time.
Easy job teaching
Supports direct teaching, allowing the operator to physically guide/move the robot arm to teach paths.
Even if the model changes, additional teaching can be completed within 10 minutes.
Uses an Android-based tablet teach pendant, enabling easy app installation and high accessibility.
Robot optimized for welding environments
High IP rating (IP66) helps protect components in harsh welding shop conditions.
Compact, lightweight collaborative robot minimizes required installation footprint.
Peace of mind with warranty coverage
Provides a 1-year warranty (standard / free warranty period).
Results
| Key Benefits | Improved weld quality, Increased productivity to a level comparable to skilled welders |
|---|---|
| Client Feedback | Skilled welders were difficult to hire, and even after training foreign workers, it took time to build proficiency—making stable operation challenging with robot automation, we achieved consistent-quality welding, which significantly improved productivity. |

Recommended Solution
Laser Welding of Round Bars using Yaskawa Robots
This welding automation solution utilizes the YASKAWA GP8 robot to perform high-precision laser welding on round bar products from multiple angles. Previously, an operator had to manually lift each workpiece, load it into the welding machine, and repeat the process for the opposite side once the first side was finished. This manual sequence has been fully automated using the robot. Continuous production is now possible regardless of operator availability. By leveraging the fast and precise YASKAWA GP8, the system achieves both guaranteed quality and enhanced productivity.
Reel Tape Packaging using AIM FlexiBowl and Epson SCARA Robots
This automation solution replaces manual reel tape packaging processes by integrating the AIM FlexiBowl (flexible parts feeder) with Epson SCARA robots. AIM helps people focus on higher-value tasks by perfectly solving the simple, repetitive labor often avoided in manufacturing environments. This system addresses labor shortages and boosts manufacturing competitiveness by providing a solution capable of tireless, precise, and infinite repetition through robotic technology.
TIG Welding using the Rainbow Robotics RB3
This welding automation solution utilizes the Rainbow Robotics RB-3 collaborative robot combined with a TIG welder to weld the bended sections of metal plates. It is characterized by fast teaching capabilities and high space efficiency. In manual welding, quality varies significantly based on the operator's skill level. Additionally, due to the harsh working conditions, securing skilled welders is becoming increasingly difficult. With this solution, even unskilled workers can manage the loading and unloading of workpieces, while the robot handles the critical welding tasks. This ensures consistent, high-quality production regardless of human fatigue or skill level.
