Process Overview

This application case features a paper bag palletizing solution that integrates a proprietary OP System with the Hyundai Robotics HS220.

The self-developed OP System allows for flexible configurations based on pallet size and packaging characteristics, ensuring high operational efficiency. Leveraging years of expertise in delivering bag manufacturing equipment, we have implemented a responsible and stable palletizing system optimized for the production floor.

  • Warranty: 1 Year

  • Project Year: 2023

  • Project Duration: Subject to consultation

Project Background & Objectives

  • High-Speed Efficiency: The need for an efficient palletizing solution to match high-speed automated production lines.

  • Flexibility: The requirement for a system that allows flexible setting changes to accommodate various product sizes.

Components

Robot
  • Robots: 2 units of Hyundai Robotics HS220

    • Note: While the HS220 model typically supports high payloads up to 220kg, the specific project specs provided list a 20kg payload and 1,742mm reach.

Workflow

STEP 1.Transport: Products are transported via conveyor.
STEP 2.Alignment: Items are positioned correctly using an alignment device.
STEP 3.Pick: The industrial robot picks the item using a specialized gripper.
STEP 4.Palletizing: Products are stacked onto the pallet according to a pre-configured pattern.

Features

High Throughput Integration

  • Seamlessly connects with the entire conveyor line to handle high-capacity (Capa) production volumes.

User-Friendly Customization

  • Equipped with an OP panel featuring an intuitive UX/UI, allowing operators to respond flexibly to various pallet and bag sizes.

Cost-Effective Visionless System

  • Utilizes a dedicated product alignment device to achieve precise positioning without the need for expensive vision systems, enabling a low-cost yet high-performance solution.

Results

Key Benefits
High output through high-speed repetitive cycles. Efficiently replaces manual labor in strenuous, repetitive tasks.
Client Feedback
"When workers handled the palletizing manually, it was difficult to increase production capacity even when customer orders piled up. Since introducing this palletizing solution, our capacity has grown exponentially, allowing us to handle any volume of orders without issue."

Beverage Pallet Unwrapping Solution using Three Hyundai HS220 Robots

This industrial robot solution utilizes three Hyundai HS220 robots to automate the hazardous task of manually removing stretch wrap and straps from beverage pallets. Previously, this process posed a significant risk of safety accidents because workers had to use manual cutters on pallets with high stacking heights. Although the complexity of the task made automation difficult in the past, Hyundai Robotics' specialized solution has made it possible. Additionally, the system neatly manages residual waste, minimizing the need for operator intervention and management.

Automation Success at UK Parts Supplier! 🦾 Field Reveal of an Automated Warehouse Powered by 40 AMRs 😎

Process Overview L&S Engineers, one of the UK's largest suppliers of spare parts and consumables, implemented HIK's logistics robot solution to enhance logistics efficiency in its large-scale warehouse. This project focused on automating the order picking process using mobile robots, increasing logistics precision, and reducing the physical burden on workers. Project Background & Objectives Background L&S Engineers operates a massive logistics center that handles thousands of spare parts and consumables, processing a high volume of orders daily. However, the existing manual methods faced several challenges: High worker fatigue due to long walking distances. Low operational efficiency and slow order processing speeds. Concerns over decreased customer satisfaction due to high error rates. Objectives Enhance Operational Efficiency: Reduce worker travel distances and improve productivity through mobile robots. Improve Accuracy: Decrease error rates in the order picking process. Reduce Operational Costs: Lower labor and operating expenses through automation.
