This application case features the KAWASAKI CX210L robot, which automates the palletizing of ice cup boxes by picking up two units at a time. By performing fast, uniform, and stable stacking, this solution has significantly increased production efficiency.

Automating the palletizing process not only accelerates work speeds but also protects workers from musculoskeletal disorders caused by repetitive heavy lifting in chilled environments.

Components

Robot
  • Robot: KAWASAKI CX210L

    • Type: 6-axis articulated industrial robot.

    • Payload: 210kg.

    • Reach: 2,699mm.

    • Repeatability: ±0.06mm.

    • Weight: 870kg.

Workflow

STEP 1.Boxes are fed into the system and aligned in two rows.
STEP 2.Palletizing: Boxes are stacked (6 units per layer / 10 layers high).
STEP 3.Automatic wrapping of the completed pallet.
STEP 4.Transfer to the cold storage facility.

Injection Molding Automation using Comau NJ-40-2.5

Injection Molding Automation using Comau NJ-40-2.5

This application is a solution using the Comau NJ-40-2.5 to extract automotive parts after injection molding and proceed directly to the thermal cutting process. This case uses Comau's articulated robot, which can move in various directions, ranges, and angles, to directly extract and insert injection-molded products from the machine. It extracts products without damage by moving in accordance with the angles inside the injection molding plate. Immediately afterward, thermal cutting is performed automatically to prevent industrial accidents and improve product quality.

LG CNS Smart Logistics Equipment: Cross Belt Sorter

LG CNS Smart Logistics Equipment: Cross Belt Sorter

This application case features the implementation of LG CNS's Cross Belt Sorter. The LG CNS Cross Belt Sorter is a high-end, high-performance system incorporating proprietary technologies such as Automatic Recovery and Vision-based Re-Centering. Developed entirely with domestic Korean technology, it stands as a premier solution for high-speed logistics. The Cross Belt Sorter consists of a chain of independently operated short conveyor belt carriers mounted transversely along a main track. This loop-type system rotates at high speeds, discharging goods to the left or right at their designated destinations. Notably, it holds the world's first innovation record for food material sorting centers, proving its ability to stably transport and sort not only standard boxes but also various types of irregular (non-standard) goods with high performance and safety.

Power Cable Bin Picking using UR5e, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning

Power Cable Bin Picking using UR5e, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning

This solution automates product sorting, assembly, and packing by utilizing 3D Vision, Deep Learning (Instance Segmentation), Reinforcement Learning (RL), and Motion Planning (OMPL) algorithms. By using 3D vision to recognize product types, product locations, and box positions in real-time, the system can automatically compensate for changes in positioning. The integration of deep learning and reinforcement learning for object identification allows the solution to be applied even to irregularly shaped objects. Because the system calibrates itself through continuous learning—even when conditions change, such as vision/robot misalignment or switching to different products—it ensures easy operation, simplified maintenance, and minimized downtime.
