ARC Welding using the Rainbow Robotics RB-5
Process Overview This welding automation solution uses the Rainbow Robotics RB-5 and a NOUBELON DIGITAL MIG/MAG welder to weld cylindrical workpieces onto a plate, featuring fast teaching and high space efficiency. In manual welding, quality can vary significantly depending on operator skill, and the harsh working environment makes it difficult to secure experienced welders. With this cell, even non-expert operators can simply load and unload parts, while the robot performs the critical welding process—enabling consistent weld quality and stable production output.
Gear Tooth Profile Inspection Using DENSO + QRS Vision
Process Overview This solution is an automated sorting system that combines QRS 2D/3D vision inspection with a DENSO VS robot to pick randomly placed gears, inspect gear tooth geometry, and separate OK parts from NG parts. With QRS's in-house vision technology, the system can be tuned and customized to match specific site conditions, enabling precise inspection across various gear shapes and models. This project was implemented to automate the inspection process after bin picking.
ARC Welding Automation for Automotive Cargo Bed Underside using Panasonic Welding System
Process Overview This welding automation solution uses the Panasonic automatic welding system (TM-2000) combined with a positioner to perform underside welding on automotive cargo beds weighing over 1 ton. A robot travel axis (linear track) is applied to cover a wide working envelope. By applying the Panasonic automatic welding system, the solution enables both high welding speed and high welding quality for arc welding automation. In addition, the welding machine, robot, and positioner are configured as an integrated package, enabling fast installation and tuning.
Replacing a two-person welding operation with a robot improved productivity and weld quality while also preventing industrial accidents.
