Process Overview
- Two cleaning robots in Terminal 1 and six in Terminal 2, operating in each area of Incheon Airport, were verified for operational stability.
- Based on the verification of operational stability, the goal is to expand the introduction of cleaning robots across all areas of Incheon Airport.
Warranty Period
- 1 Year
Performance Year
- 2024
Project Duration
- 30 days
Project Background and Objectives
- Disadvantages of Previous Robots
- The robot does not have an automatic water supply and drainage system, so personnel must manually carry and dispose of the water.
- When full, the robot can weigh hundreds of pounds, making it difficult to manage because of the heavy load.
- Proposed water supply and drainage options include workstation and SOLlink remote control.
- The Gausium cleaning robot supports automatic charging and features automatic water supply and drainage through the workstation.
- If the water supply and drainage functions are unavailable due to insufficient facility coordination, the kitchenette can be set as a maintenance point via SOLlink, allowing the robot to be remotely moved to that location for easier management.

Superior safety is ensured through front and rear cameras and various sensors, along with safe driving capabilities such as LiDAR sensors, front and rear cameras, and tilt cameras.
A convenient customer experience is provided through SOLlink and dedicated control. A convenient customer experience is enhanced through continuous robot status checks and work reports after cleaning.
Cleaning performance close to walls, smart obstacle avoidance, and path-based cleaning provide superior cleaning results. A user-friendly UI and editing interface allow for easy access to cleaning settings and information checks, and changes.
Implementation Results
| Key Metrics | When replacing the 3,000 square meter Incheon Airport interior floor cleaning robot, the cleaning quality (the degree of dust accumulation in the large dust tray after cleaning/whether sand and dust on the floor can be removed) Excellent obstacle avoidance stability check (conditions for changing the load arrangement are also added) Whether the main source of contamination, accumulated dust on the floor, can be cleaned (after setting the high-touch section in the area where the main source of contamination occurs, the cleaning can be repeated up to 3 times or infinitely) Degree of improvement in the environment of dusty logistics sites Increased convenience and minimization of waste of human resources due to automatic charging stations that do not require manual charging Increased job sustainability by improving the working environment of workers and reducing worker fatigue (workers can focus on their main work) |
