To solve this chronic problem in the robot market, we ambitiously prepared the Used Robot Marketplace. Hoping that robots left unused due to business closures or personal reasons could become valuable resources for others, Marosol officially opened the Used Robot Marketplace on July 11th. 🤗

Today, we would like to introduce a success story of a company that purchased a robot at a low cost through the Marosol Used Robot Marketplace. Let’s find out why they chose a used robot and how they are using it now! 👇

The client is 4Division, a company that develops 3D camera sensors capable of rapidly responding to automated factories. They help realize automated factories using 3D cameras and improve product quality and productivity through automated defect detection technology.

4Division was looking for an industrial robot to combine with their self-developed 3D camera for bin-picking solutions, quality inspection research, and internal testing. Let's look at the specifications they required:

✅ It’s hard to find an industrial robot that fits a tight budget of 10 to 15 million KRW.

✅ The payload of the industrial robot should be 5kg or more.

✅ We are worried because we lack information about robots.

Before inquiring with Marosol, 4Division looked into many robot agencies to find the lowest price and even considered direct overseas purchases. They were also very concerned due to their limited experience with robot hardware.

Finding an industrial robot within that budget was a challenge, but we are the "MaroSolomon" of the robot world! 😎 Fortunately, we had a used industrial robot listing that perfectly solved the budget issue.

The robot we found was the Yaskawa Motoman MH5L!

The Motoman MH5L is compact but designed to be applied to various industrial environments. Since it is widely used in industries where 4Division’s 3D technology is needed—such as food, pharmaceuticals, and automotive parts—the team was very satisfied. Its small footprint and light mass of 24kg also made it ideal for research purposes.

To address 4Division's concern about lacking robot expertise, Marosol went a step further. To ensure the robot perfectly matched their requirements, we collaborated with our OSI partner, EOTech, to provide not just the industrial robot, but also the robot base, gripper, and TCP Tool (Tool Center Point).

As a result, they were able to receive the MH5L used robot along with all necessary peripherals at a highly competitive price. 👍

After introducing the MH5L used robot and peripherals, 4Division equipped it with their proprietary TesseraVue (3D sensor) and successfully applied it to their bin-picking solution tests. 4Division's bin-picking solution can be applied to both manufacturing and logistics.

Bin-picking solutions allow for the relocation of workers by having a robot arm take over simple labor, improving working conditions and solving labor shortages in manufacturing. It also brings positive effects to production volume! 😊
