A Chicken-frying Robot? Let's See Who Fries It Better!

Chicken Frying Robot / Chicken Robot / Robot Chicken / Cooking Robot / Automated Cooking Robot

Is there anyone here who doesn't like chicken? ๐Ÿ™‹‍โ™€๏ธ Personally, I love all kinds of chicken, from seasoned to fried.

Recently, I tried the famous <Robert Chicken> delivered to our office. Since a robot fries the chicken, they’ve managed to significantly cut labor costs, which makes the price very affordable too!

[I really envy those of you living in the 'Ro-ward' (Robert Chicken delivery area)...]

In fact, many people considering a chicken franchise are looking into adopting robots to find a competitive edge in such a saturated market! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

So, Marosol has prepared two cases of chicken cooking automation. Shall we pick which case is better and see who fries it best?!

1. Robert Chicken Gangnam Unit 2 using Neuromeka Indy7

First, this case is chicken cooking automation utilizing the Neuromeka Indy7.

This is Robert Chicken, famous for being delicious in Gangnam. Operating as a delivery-only shop, they introduced robot automation so that a single owner can run the entire store alone, even during peak hours, without any trouble.

As you can see in the video, they’ve simply automated everything up to the battering and breading process. Thanks to this, the owner only needs to prepare the marinated raw chicken and handle the packaging! It’s that simple. ๐Ÿ˜‰

When running a food business, there are mountains of work besides the actual cooking. By automating the cooking process with a robot, the owner can focus more on the operational side of the store.

This is a robot mixing the fried food evenly in a human-like(?) way.

Sometimes when you go to a restaurant and the owner is bald, you don't have to worry about hair hygiene. What about a chicken shop where a robot cooks?! Even when orders are piled up or things get hectic, consistent taste and quality are maintained. (Haha)

Also, by utilizing a linear track above the deep fryers, the robot can perform 6 frying tasks simultaneously, enabling a production capacity of up to 30 chickens per hour! Even a bulk order from a high school athletic team can be handled safely. ๐Ÿ™‚

2. Chicken Frying using Doosan M0609

The second case is chicken cooking automation utilizing Doosan Robotics' collaborative robot M0609. This cobot is particularly notable for its very light weight of only 32kg. Thanks to this, the robot was installed on the ceiling with a linear track, allowing for efficient use of the kitchen space.

This case was the star of the show at the recent <RoboWorld 2021> at Ilsan KINTEX, drawing massive crowds with its delicious aroma. ๐Ÿ‘€โœจ (Just as a sparrow can't pass by a granary, I couldn't help myself either...)

Furthermore, it is equipped with optimal frying quality management algorithms, motion algorithms to keep the breading thin, and oil replacement cycle management algorithms for fresh oil. This allows for much smarter cooking.

With its very easy-to-use interface, this is a reliable solution that can produce up to 100 chickens a day while smartly maintaining quality using a single robot.

Plus! It can cook not just chicken but also French fries or tonkatsu (pork cutlet), so it can be used in various food businesses beyond just chicken shops. ๐Ÿ˜‰ (It seems like it can make everything I love!)

Convenient automation from the battering process! Robert Chicken using Neuromeka Indy7

โœ… Reduces battering time through a high-speed flour batter mixer.

โœ… Capable of performing 6 frying tasks simultaneously using a linear track.

โœ… Easy cleaning by applying a ceiling-mounted robot and a water-washable automatic mixer.

From chicken to tonkatsu and French fries! Chicken Frying using Doosan M0609

โœ… Ceiling installation possible due to the 32kg lightweight cobot.

โœ… Solved the need for multiple robots to manage 3 fryers simultaneously by adding an auxiliary axis.

โœ… Applied optimal frying quality management algorithms.

โœ… Applied motion algorithms to maintain thin breading.

โœ… Capable of frying French fries and tonkatsu in addition to chicken.

The chicken cooking we looked at today is one of the tasks many people avoid due to the smell of oil and the danger of hot grease.

By conveniently automating this with robots, the cooking time was reduced compared to manual labor, allowing for efficient responses even during peak delivery hours. Plus, the differentiated marketing effect of having a 'Cooking Robot' is a total bonus! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
