First, Hyundai Robotics offers a solution for the body frame bin-picking process using the Hyundai HS210E and Pickit 3D. To accurately pick various body frames, they manufactured a custom gripper that can move the required products all at once.

3D vision plays a huge role in enabling this custom gripper to accurately pick body frames. The robot has gained the ability to distinguish products by having 3D vision "eyes."



The work process is as follows:

  1. Recognize the position of the discharge jig and AMR with 3D vision.

  2. Adjust the gripper according to the position of the workpiece and pick it up.

  3. Unload it onto the discharge jig and proceed to the next picking task.


Previously, layouts were often complex or incurred extra costs due to the alignment work required before and after the process. There were also many restrictions on handling various workpieces.

2. Engine Oil Pan Transfer using FANUC + QRS 3D Vision

 ※ For this solution, only the Vision solution portion was handled in collaboration with QRS, while the robot and peripheral devices were handled in-house by the client.

The second solution is an Engine Oil Pan Transfer case using FANUC and QRS 3D Vision. This solution uses a large FANUC robot and QRS 3D vision to sequentially transfer automotive engine oil pans stacked on a pallet for the next process.
