Use Safe and Smart Serving Robots in Crowded Restaurants!

Hello everyone, this is Pengbok! 🐧 Lately, I've been working from home, but I finally went into the office after a long time.

Since the team was all together, we stopped by a famous boiled pork (suyuk) restaurant nearby. And guess what I found there? A very welcome sight: a Serving Robot!

It seems like you see these serving robots everywhere these days. Especially in popular restaurants where there's so much to do, robots handle the serving while the staff focuses on other tasks. Honestly, I’ve started believing that if a place uses a serving robot, it’s a certified "good restaurant" (just my theory!).

Marosol has various types of serving robots listed. Some are optimized for PC cafes, others are commonly seen in restaurants, and some are even used in logistics to transport workpieces.

Today, we’re looking at a standard restaurant serving robot solution provided by 'RGT'. Shall we call Brian?

Q. Hello, Brian! That boiled pork we had today was delicious, right? It was fun seeing the robot serve it directly to us.

It sure was. Serving robots don't just help the staff with their workload; they provide a unique experience for the customers, making them helpful in many ways.

Q. I’ve seen many brands of serving robots in restaurants... I’ve seen some with 'Baedal Minjok' written on them. What kind of robot is the one we're introducing today?

The one we’re looking at today is a solution from 'RGT.' It’s a highly practical, 3-tier serving robot that gets the job done efficiently.

Q. I see! Is the operation similar to other serving robots?

Yes. Like most serving robots, you load the items on the tray, input the location, and the robot autonomously navigates to the designated spot. Once the serving is complete, it returns to its base.

Q. I heard that when using autonomous serving robots, you need to install special markers or go through a complex setup... 🤔 Does this robot move along a pre-drawn map or markers?

Not at all. The biggest advantage of this robot is its full autonomy, which eliminates the need for markers or separate installation processes. This means even if you move tables or change the workspace layout, the robot adapts flexibly.

Q. Wow 👏 It looks like a standard serving robot on the outside, but the functions are definitely upgraded! I guess you can't judge by appearances. My one concern is: would it be hard for older restaurant owners or staff to operate? 😢

No need to worry about that. The controls are so simple and intuitive that anyone can use them. You could learn it in a heartbeat, Pengbok! haha.

Q. Of course! My learning ability is top-tier, after all 😎. But what if a large restaurant operates multiple robots at once? Won't the robots or the staff get confused?

You might think so since there are no markers, but these robots are smarter than they look. Even with multiple units, they share location information and serve smoothly according to order priority. Also, if they encounter an obstacle, they generate a new path to avoid it naturally.

Q. If I were the owner, I’d feel so proud, like watching a well-raised child!

Exactly. Plus, it can be integrated with kiosks, delivery apps, POS systems, KDS*, and call bells to implement a total Smart Store Solution! I’m starting to sound like a proud parent myself. 😅

Q. Those features are jaw-dropping. Can we expect the price to be just as good?

Owners who know the monthly salary of a human server might want to request a match right away. Don’t be surprised: this robot can be "hired" for 500,000 KRW per month (based on a 36-month rental)!

They say you can see a return on investment in just one year. Efficiency goes up, while labor intensity goes down.

Q. I have a dream of opening a boiled chicken restaurant later, and I’m definitely taking this robot with me 😎. Oh! I also heard there’s a robot optimized for PC cafes...

That would be this solution: the Mobile Robot FORMER. Its specialty is navigating through complex environments like PC cafes. When a customer orders through their computer, the robot delivers it directly to their seat—a win-win for both the customer and the part-timer!

Q. I haven't been to a PC cafe in a while... I’d love to visit for this cute untact service 😝. Any other advantages of the PC cafe robot?

Like the previous robot, it identifies its location and searches for paths without separate infrastructure, saving installation costs and time. Its compact size allows it to weave through narrow spaces and perform 360-degree rotations on the spot. Even if the path is blocked, it's no problem.

Q. I heard the warranty period is a full year... is that true?!

Yes, a 1-year free warranty is provided. You can introduce it for a monthly rental of 600,000 KRW, or purchase it outright for 20 million KRW. 👍

🐧: PC cafe ramen is legendary... it would probably taste even better if a cute robot brought it to me 😝.

👱: You might even find yourself saying hello to it. In our office, we're always fiddling with the AC remote... I imagine a serving robot bringing the remote back and forth for us.

🐧: Serving robots really can be used in so many environments, not just restaurants!

From restaurant servers to specialized PC cafe robots, we’ve explored the endless possibilities of serving robots in various sizes and purposes. Since they can be utilized in so many different settings, please reach out if your site needs a helping hand!
