Commercial Robot Vacuum Recommendations: Gausium Phantas vs. Beetle Comparison (Industrial Floor Cleaning & Wet Scrubbing Robot Selection Guide)

Luke2026.04.132 min read0277

Cleaning expansive areas like wide factory floors or subway stations manually is both time-consuming and physically demanding.

As the movement to automate floor maintenance gains momentum, many facilities are now considering the adoption of commercial robot vacuums. Among them, Gausium robots are highly sought after—fitting for a company with the #1 market share in the cleaning robot sector, recognized for both performance and stability. In particular, the recently released Phantas (Omnie) and Beetle models are drawing significant attention for their distinct strengths. 🙌

Both of these intelligent, autonomous robots are designed to keep floors spotless in place of manual labor. However, because their cleaning methods and ideal environments differ, it is important to carefully compare them to see which model fits your specific workplace.

In this post, we will accurately explain the differences between the Gausium Phantas (Omnie) and the Beetle, and examine which site each product is best suited for. 👇

Gausium Phantas vs. Beetle: Which Commercial Robot Vacuum is Right for You?

While both of Gausium's leading cleaning robots boast outstanding performance, they differ in their cleaning mechanisms and optimal environments. Simply put, the Beetle is a dry-only robot vacuum, whereas the Phantas (Omnie) is a wet-only robot scrubber.

In other words, the Beetle specializes in sweeping up dust and large debris, while the Phantas (Omnie) handles wet mopping to leave floors sparkling. Let’s take a look at the specifications and features of these two robots at a glance! 👀

The Beetle is dedicated to dry cleaning, capable of covering up to approximately 3,240㎡ per hour. It is optimized for industrial sites with heavy dust and debris, such as large factory floors and logistics centers. On the other hand, the Phantas (Omnie) manages wet cleaning with a coverage of up to approximately 2,621㎡ per hour. It is best suited for deep-cleaning floors in large complex facilities like subway/KTX stations, airports, and massive shopping malls. Both models are equipped with the latest AI autonomous driving technology to navigate around obstacles skillfully, and they support long-term unmanned operations via automatic charging docking stations.

Beetle: The Dry Robot Vacuum Specialized for Factory and Warehouse Floors

True to its name, the Beetle is an industrial robot vacuum that diligently scours floors, sweeping up everything from dust and sand to paper scraps and wood chips. It features a smart function that uses AI-based cameras to automatically detect litter or contaminated spots on the floor and focuses its cleaning efforts there autonomously.

Equipped with a large 45L waste bin, it can collect a vast amount of dust and debris from expansive spaces in a single session. Thanks to its powerful suction motor and brushes, it cleans floors thoroughly without scattering fine dust, and it can hug walls within less than 1cm to sweep away corner dust effectively. With a battery life of 4 to 8 hours of continuous operation and an automatic charging dock, it is perfectly suited for 24-hour operational environments.

Due to these features, the Beetle is the perfect fit for areas with massive floor spaces and high generation of dust or waste, such as large-scale factories and logistics warehouses. A real-world example of this is the LX Pantos Logistics Center in Cheongna, Incheon (a warehouse of approximately 3,300㎡), where the Beetle was introduced to fully automate floor cleaning.

At the LX Pantos Cheongna Logistics Center (a single floor of approximately 3,300㎡), the persistent challenge was that the expansive floor would "get dirty again immediately after cleaning." To solve this, Bigwave Robotics (Marosol) installed the Beetle commercial robot vacuum to automate floor maintenance. By combining the Beetle’s powerful cleaning performance with an automatic charging station, we established an unmanned operational flow where the robot returns and recharges itself after each task.

Leveraging its autonomous navigation and sensor-based stability, we configured schedules to ensure cleaning occurs at designated times. This allowed cleaning staff to focus on organization and detail management, significantly boosting efficiency through human-robot collaboration.

Notably, the SOLlink remote control and task reporting system was also implemented at this site. This allows managers to monitor operational status remotely and design necessary cleaning scenarios quickly without needing to be physically present on the floor.

The Beetle demonstrated its power in "floor maintenance" tailored for warehouse environments by capturing corner dust through its 1cm wall-proximity cleaning, consistently covering large areas with a productivity rate of up to 980㎡ per hour, and supporting water-based cleaning via its dual-roller brush system.

In fact, representatives from LX Pantos provided feedback stating, "Because of the high volume of visitors and resident staff, the floors used to get dirty quickly even after cleaning; however, since the introduction, cleaning occurs in real-time, and everyone is highly satisfied." They noted a tangible improvement in the working environment and an enhanced professional image of the center's cleanliness.

Phantas (Omnie): Advanced Wet Scrubbing for Sparkling Public Spaces

The Phantas (Omnie) is an intelligent robot vacuum that excels at wet mopping and scrubbing. Simply put, it is a hybrid cleaning robot that performs both suction-based dust removal and water-based floor scrubbing. It is equipped with cutting-edge sensors, including 3D LiDAR and a 360-degree panoramic camera, allowing it to accurately avoid people and obstacles even in the most complex environments.

As Gausium’s high-end model, it is specialized for high-traffic complex facilities such as airports, stations (Subway/KTX), and large retail malls. In environments where floor hygiene and a polished gloss are critical, the Phantas’s wet cleaning capabilities will significantly elevate the overall cleanliness standards.

Another major strength of the Phantas (Omnie) is its automated wet cleaning process. It features internal tanks—33L clean water tank and a 24L wastewater tank—allowing it to scrub and mop floors to a high standard. While the robot can be used as a standalone unit (requiring manual water refills and drainage after a certain period), introducing the dedicated Workstation + Mobile Water Tank enables it to handle water replenishment and sewage discharge entirely on its own.

Even at sites where plumbing work is difficult, the Mobile Water Tank allows the robot to continue wet cleaning without interruption. A real-world example is the KTX Gyeongju Station, where the Phantas was deployed. By using the workstation to automate battery charging, water refilling, and wastewater drainage, the robot successfully managed the expansive station floors completely autonomously.

KTX Gyeongju Station is a prime example of a large-scale complex facility with high foot traffic, where floor cleaning can often feel like an "endless task." To address this, Bigwave Robotics established an automated operational structure at the Korail Tech Gyeongju Station site, centered around the Gausium Phantas (Omnie) combined with its Workstation and Mobile Water Tank.

The core objective was to implement a system that could properly leverage the Phantas's powerful wet scrubbing performance and cutting-edge autonomous driving specifically for a station environment. By setting schedules for desired day or night shifts, the robot emerges autonomously to begin its tasks. Utilizing 3D LiDAR and a full array of camera sensors, it smoothly navigates and avoids collisions even in spaces where people and obstacles are constantly in motion, ensuring uninterrupted cleaning.

With the commercial robot vacuum taking full responsibility for such a vast floor area, cleaning staff were able to focus more on detailed tasks that require a human touch or managing specific maintenance requests. As a result, roles were redefined in a way that significantly elevated the overall quality of cleanliness. 😊

Another critical point was “maintaining uninterrupted wet cleaning.” When the Phantas (Omnie) runs low on battery, fresh water, or when its wastewater tank is full, it automatically returns to the workstation to recharge, refill, and drain. It then returns exactly to the point where it stopped to resume cleaning.

In many older facilities where plumbing work is difficult or existing water lines are inaccessible, combining the robot with the Mobile Water Tank (90L fresh water / 75L wastewater capacity) allows for stable water supply and drainage, as if it were directly connected to a water line.

Ultimately, by introducing this commercial robot vacuum, KTX Gyeongju Station has established an automation model that is expected to save approximately 90 million KRW over a five-year period.
