Yujin Robot / International Standard Certification / Autonomous Driving / Domestic Robot

Hello, everyone. Penguin 🐧 Pengbok, the mascot of Marosol—the professional robot brokerage platform—has returned! Today, we're going to have an interview with robot expert Brian about GoCart, the logistics robot from Yujin Robot that is receiving global acclaim. Yujin Robot, with over 30 years of solid technological expertise, has ambitiously prepared the GoCart! Shall we find out more with Brian? 😊

Hello, Brian. I heard there's a Korean-made logistics robot that has started shipping to the European market.

Hello, Pengbok. Yes, that's correct. The protagonist is GoCart, a logistics robot developed by Yujin Robot, an autonomous driving solution specialist. Yujin Robot is recognized worldwide for its technology and safety, even holding the international standard 'ISO 13482' for logistics robots.

International standard for personal Service established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2014

Wow, a Korean robot recognized globally... it makes my heart swell with pride. I heard there are different types of GoCarts. Is that true?

The GoCart lineup includes GoCart 180 and GoCart 250. GoCart 180 has a payload capacity of 180kg, while GoCart 250 is a product with an increased payload capacity of up to 250kg.

The robot that started shipping to Europe is the GoCart 250. It was designed with increased robot size and payload capacity to account for the various product sizes and heavier loads handled in the logistics industry.

A payload capacity of 250kg... that's truly amazing. It seems like it could be used in many different places.

Yes, GoCart's versatility is truly extensive. Beyond manufacturing processes and logistics warehouses, it can be used in various fields such as airports, hospitals, and smart buildings. The storage bin that holds the load is also replaceable, allowing it to be used for many different purposes.

I thought logistics robots were only used in factories or warehouses, but I was wrong. You mentioned at the end that it can be used in smart buildings. What is a smart building?

A smart building is a high-tech building that introduces ICT technologies like AI and 5G to organically integrate architecture, communication, building automation, and office automation, providing advanced services based on this integration.

When the Internet of Things (IoT) technology of a smart building is linked with the FMS (Fleet Management System) developed by Yujin Robot, the GoCart can call elevators on its own to move freely between floors and pass through automatic doors with ease.

Wow, that sounds like something straight out of a science fiction movie. Please tell us more about the advantages of GoCart!

GoCart is equipped with a 3D LiDAR sensor developed by Yujin Robot. This provides higher precision than logistics robots equipped with 2D LiDAR sensors and enables accurate autonomous driving even when the environment changes.

Therefore, it can perform precise driving and obstacle avoidance without the need for driving aids like magnetic lines or markers installed for traditional transport platform services. It can also accurately analyze spaces using stereo cameras and ultrasonic sensors.

Furthermore, through Yujin's proprietary technologies—SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), Navigation, and Safety functions—it can recognize people or obstacles to avoid collisions and find detours.

It's no wonder Yujin Robot was the first in Korea to receive ISO 13482 certification. It has excellent technology, but is it true that it doesn't fall behind in price competitiveness either?

Yes, that's correct. As mentioned before, Yujin Robot has many technologies developed in-house. Additionally, most of the parts are localized (made in Korea). Thanks to these factors, they were able to gain price competitiveness. Due to its excellent price competitiveness, pre-orders and installation consultations in overseas markets were underway even before the launch of GoCart 250.

It's full of advantages in many ways. I heard Marosol has joined hands with Yujin Robot to launch a program that can ease the investment burden on companies!

Yes. Marosol, together with Yujin Robot, is running a RaaS (Robot as a Service) program to ease the investment burden on demand companies. For companies burdened by robot prices, we have developed lease and rental products to provide financial solutions. We are also currently planning subscription-type RaaS products to enable a billing system based on robot usage.

Through this project, we hope to help companies reduce the burden on operating capital and assist in cutting project costs. 😊

🐧: A meeting between Yujin Robot and Marosol... it's like the Avengers of the robot world!

πŸ‘±: Please work hard today with pride, Pengbok!
