Industrial Robot / KUKA / Wide Working Radius / Filming Software

Hello, MaroSolomon, the all-around problem solver who only thinks about successful robot introduction, is back! 😁 Meeting various customers at Marosol, where you can see diverse robots from serving robots to disinfection, logistics, and industrial robots at a glance, my problem-solving skills are growing day by day. To not lose the title of Solomon in the robot world, I will study solutions diligently today as well. 🤓

Shall we run for a successful robot introduction today? 🏃

Today, an inquiry came from a studio that primarily films videos! They wanted to purchase an industrial robot for filming music videos. I’ve heard about techniques for mounting cameras on industrial robots to film from various angles, and it was fascinating to actually receive an inquiry. 😲 However, the customer who contacted us had several concerns:

✅ Please recommend a robot specialized for filming.

✅ I want it to be installable in a narrow filming site without difficulty.

✅ I want a robot capable of precise filming.

✅ The price is a huge burden; is there any way?

They already had a filming robot they were using, but they wanted one more robot for studio expansion. However, since the robot they wanted was a specialized robot for filming, the investment cost was very high, creating a significant burden on their capital. 😟

Finding a robot suitable for filming wasn't easy, but after consulting with various suppliers and references, we found the perfect match and sought a way to lower the financial burden using the Marosol RaaS program. As a result, the perfect robot for the studio appeared. 🤗 It is the KUKA KR 20 R3100!

*RaaS Program: Short for Robot as a Service, a program that helps you easily introduce robots using operating costs without worrying about raising a large lump sum.

The KUKA KR 20 R3100 is an industrial robot applicable in various fields. In particular, KUKA supports specialized software for filming, allowing workers to film more conveniently and precisely. Being a robot specialized for filming, it is a model that everyone in the studio industry would covet. 😎

The KUKA KR 20 R3100 is designed with a slim profile so it can be installed without difficulty even in narrow spaces. Thanks to this advantage, it is being sought after in various types of sites.

Are you worried that a small size means a narrow working radius? 🤔 The KUKA KR 20 R3100 has a long arm length of 3,100mm. Therefore, it can cover filming in wide spaces without issue. In fact, it is widely used for music videos that utilize large spaces or for commercial filming that requires detailed shots to highlight product characteristics.

The biggest advantage of filming with a robot is that precise filming is possible. In particular, the position repeatability (ISO 9283) of the KUKA KR 20 R3100 is within 0.05mm. Thanks to this minimal error, high-quality videos can be filmed.

Furthermore, the motion range is supported from a minimum of -5° to a maximum of 350°, allowing for rich cinematic beauty. I actually visited a studio and saw the filming site, and the video created by the robot moving exactly to the values entered on the computer was truly amazing. 👍

When introducing industrial robots, customers also worry about maintenance costs. The KUKA KR 20 R3100 requires an oil change only once every 20,000 operating hours, leading to low maintenance costs. Additionally, its average Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) is 400,000 hours

It is clearly a product with outstanding durability. 😊

Looking at the performance and advantages, it was the perfect robot for the studio, but there was one more mountain to climb: the price! No matter how good the performance, a robot with high initial investment costs is burdensome for customers.

Marosol, which specializes in lowering these financial burdens, solved this clearly again! Through Marosol’s unique RaaS program. 👊

There are various financial products in the Marosol RaaS program, and among them, we recommended a financial product that combines a lease with interest support.

Through this, the customer was able to proceed with a structure where they only pay an initial down payment and are only charged installments after the robot is delivered. By proceeding with a method of paying a down payment and then monthly installments after robot delivery—rather than the traditional "down payment - intermediate payment - balance" method—they were able to significantly lower their burden.

Studio filming robots can also be introduced quickly without price burden if you use the Marosol RaaS program well. 😉 If you want a more detailed explanation, please contact a Marosol robot automation professional consultant! 24-hour free consultation is available. See you next time! Goodbye!
