Process Overview
This is a case study of Bigwave Robotics (Marosol) deploying three guide robots at Haeundae Paik Hospital to automate patient navigation. Using the LG CLOi guide robots, the hospital automatically guided patients through their examinations. The three guide robots were interconnected using the SOLlink integrated robot control system. This enabled seamless guidance for patients moving between floors.
Warranty Period
- 1 Year
Performance Year

Project Background and Objectives
- Robots don't board elevators; patients move between floors.
- Robots on each floor are interconnected through a highly integrated control system (relay function).
- This system accompanies and guides patients as they move between floors.
Components
| Robot | LG CLOi GuideBot |
|---|
Workflow
| STEP 1. | Coordinator calls robot integration with SOLlink |
|---|---|
| STEP 2. | Enter patient name, password (1234), and examination course selection |
| STEP 3. | Robot-assisted guidance begins on the first floor |
| STEP 4. | Only patients are moved to the second floor |
| STEP 5. | Enter the password to the robot waiting at the designated location on the 2nd floor |
| STEP 6. | 2nd floor inspection course guide |
| STEP 7. | Only patients are moved to the basement level |
| STEP 8. | Enter the password on the waiting robot at the designated location on the first basement floor |
| STEP 9. | Complete guidance is available at the Radiology Department on the first basement floor |

Recommended Use Cases
IFCC WorldLab Seoul 2022 CLOi Guidebot
This application utilizes the LG CLOi GuideBot, developed by LG Electronics, to patrol an exhibition booth and use its front and rear-mounted body displays to promote the company and explain events. The LG CLOi GuideBot can operate guidance and advertising using the two body displays mounted on the robot. The robot can autonomously navigate to guide visitors to amenities within the facility or conduct patrols at night. As an option, a docent function can be used to guide visitors and explain exhibits at museums or exhibitions.
Hyundai Robotics Disinfection Robot D1 - Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital
Hyundai Robotics' D1 is a solution that performs disinfection, air sterilization, and purification tasks in indoor spaces such as large shopping malls, museums, office buildings, and workplaces. It utilizes a sterilization method that generates a large amount of plasma through the robot's bipolar Ionization technology to inactivate the molecular structures of airborne viruses and allergens. It has proven effective in inactivating the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, using UV-C radiation.
Temi: The Ultimate Exhibition Promotion & Information Robot
Temi is the world's first truly intelligent personal robot capable of interacting with people while seamlessly experiencing autonomous driving, clear video calls, and intelligent AI services. It can continuously patrol a designated area to attract attention and display advertisements, such as videos, to draw visitors or promote its services. Additionally, it kindly escorts visitors, offers necessary information and guide to their desired locations.
